Introducing... Tonic by Scott & Barry

Immediately upon chatting to the team from Scott & Barry, I was pleasantly surprised by how ambitious these young guys are. To reach completely beyond their comfort zones and take up a new challenge to start a fashion brand. Two of whom are currently studying architecture, and the other Business Science, but covid saw them having a little more time on their hands to focus on something new, that’s when these friends decided to put their creative minds together and try their hands at this cool little start up called Scott & Barry . The company originally began with them producing some trendy T-shirt’s and jumpers, and then moving onto wrap dresses and board shorts when their friends suggested they try something different. They researched, sourced and implemented, and have continued to grow this amazing little brand, learning a lot about business start-ups and SA tax laws along the way.

They speaks fondly of the friends that have helped them along the way, getting involved with the photography and modelling their garments for them.

The best news, their products are sustainably produced and packaged, and a truly South African brand, proudly made in Cape Town.

I was fortunate enough to receive one of their yellow wrap dresses, which I wore on one of my recent safari trips, and absolutely loved. And of course I had so many ladies asking me where they could purchase the dress from. I’m definitely keen to keep an eye on this cool little brand and see what other ranges they produce in the future.
